Chef Susanna Marchesi

I am Susanna Marchesi, an Italian Private Chef with a lifelong passion for food, hospitality and creating memorable experiences around the table.

My love for cooking began when I was four years old, alongside my very first and most important teachers: my grandmothers. They taught me not only how to cook, but above all how to respect ingredients, seasonality and the extraordinary culinary heritage of my country, Italy.

Once I realised that cooking was more than a passion and would become my profession, I trained at ALMA – The School of Italian Culinary Arts, before continuing my education with further studies in Event Food Design and Culinary Nutrition.

My professional journey has taken me through Michelin-starred restaurants, teaching both cooking and pastry, and eventually to Milan, where I founded and ran my own restaurant, ByS Milano. The concept was born from two of my greatest passions, food and art, and developed into a successful project before I decided to sell the restaurant and pursue a new challenge: becoming a Private Chef.

Since then, I have worked internationally in private villas, luxury chalets and yachts, cooking for private and VIP clients from many different cultures and nationalities.

My cuisine is rooted in Italian and Mediterranean traditions, while my years of travelling and working internationally have given me a strong passion for Asian, Indian and South American flavours. I love combining influences from different cultures while keeping ingredients, balance and seasonality at the heart of every dish.

Today, my work goes beyond cooking. My experience in private households has naturally developed into a broader role encompassing private chef services, personal assistance, luxury hospitality and house management, always with the same attention to detail, discretion and personalised service.
