Chef Piet-Michael Zowitsky

I’m Chef Piet-Michael, a professionally trained South African chef with experience ranging from luxury safari lodges and private guest dining to international cruise ship kitchens.

I completed my culinary training at Capital Hotel School in Pretoria and have built my career around creating memorable dining experiences with warm, personal service. I have worked as an Executive Chef in a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area, where I cooked for local and international guests and developed a strong appreciation for intimate, guest-focused dining. I have also gained valuable international experience working aboard the Disney Treasure with Disney Cruise Line.

My cooking style is inspired by South African flavours, the bushveld and modern comfort food. I particularly enjoy working with open-fire cooking, braais, quality meats and fresh seasonal ingredients, while adapting every menu to the preferences of my guests.

For me, being a private chef is about more than preparing a meal. I want guests to relax, enjoy their time together and experience South African hospitality through food — while I take care of the cooking.
