About Me – Jamandi Bekker

I’ve spent the past 19 years in the hospitality industry, from running my own guesthouse and restaurant in Bloemfontein to catering across South Africa. In 2017, I became one of the first winners of My Kitchen Rules South Africa on MNET — an experience that opened doors to cook for their elite clientele around the country.

I’ve worked closely with Weber South Africa, showcasing live-fire cooking and becoming known for my famous Weber flatbreads. But food for me has never just been about what’s on the plate — it’s about the experience, the connection, and the energy I bring to every event.

Clients describe me as warm, vibrant, and full of life. I bring a special kind of energy to the kitchen and table — turning meals into celebrations. Whether I’m creating an intimate dinner for a family at a villa, a harvest table at a wine farm, or a multi-day culinary journey at a game lodge, my goal is always the same: to create moments guests will never forget.

I am based in Hermanus, but I travel across South Africa and beyond — cooking at private villas, luxury lodges, weddings, and retreats. My style is rooted in South African flavours, fresh ingredients, and a touch of storytelling that makes each dish an experience.
